March 5

Sing a Song

If It's Raining
(Tune: If You're Happy and You Know It)

If it's raining and you know it clap your hands
If it's raining and you know it clap your hands
If it's raining and you know it then your clothes will surely show it
If it's raining and you know it clap your hands
If the mud is only knee deep, stamp your feet
If the mud is only knee deep, stamp your feet
If the mud is only knee deep, and you wish that it were hip deep
If the mud is only knee deep, stamp your feet
If the wind is really blowing, shake your head
If the wind is really blowing, shake your head
If the wind is really blowing, and your permanent is going If the wind is really blowing

Try This

March brings spring showers! Next time it rains, have a movie marathon! Put on pajamas (no matter what time it is), pop popcorn, and watch a movie! If you really want to go outside, put on raincoats, boots and splash around in puddles! Show your child how to use an umbrella. Practice saying and spelling the word umbrella.

Read a Book

Here are two book recommendations for today. Check out the picture book collection at your local library, where there are lots of books to choose from! Find nearby libraries

  • Rain by Linda Ashman; illustrated by Christian Robinson
  • Cloudette by Tom Lichtenheld
